This 5-day meditation retreat will include regular sessions of sitting and walking meditation, silent reflection periods and personal guidance. The retreat is open to both beginners and experienced meditators.
Meditation instruction will be given on the first day of the retreat.
10:00-10:30am: Tea break
11:00-11:20am: Optional walking meditation
1:00-2:30pm: Personal interview
2:40-3:00pm: Optional walking meditation
4:00-4:30pm: Tea break
7:30-8:30pm: Evening prayers and dedication
Silence will be observed from after evening prayers till the next day at 1:00pm after lunch. The period from 1:00pm till 7:30pm you can choose to speak. You could also choose to observe silence the entire period of the retreat.
The afternoon sessions from 4:30-6:00pm on the last two days are tentatively scheduled for viewing DVD teachings. This will be confirmed later.

Venerable Aggacitta is a Theravadan monk from Japan. He trained in the Burmese and Sri Lankan Buddhist monastic traditions for 9 years. He has also been studying under various teachers of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Venerable Aggacitta has been a faculty member at Deer Park Institute for the past 5 years. Venerable often travels to south-east Asia for personal retreat and recently conducted meditation retreats in China.
