Himalayan Film School presents Tuning Fork Film Workshops are about learning to make films from scratch, to understand the basics of storytelling, shooting & editing. Through a well-tested combination of sessions, hands-on & teamwork, you leave the workshop having made your very own film.
Tuning Fork's passionate & experienced facilitators create an environment which has witnessed thousands of people realise their dream of making their own film.
- Understanding Film: Learn how to ‘read’ films, understand what makes films such a powerful medium. Watch FICTION, DOCUS, SHORTS, ADs, explore & discuss the subtle nuances behind these.
- Exploring the Camera: Understand the fundamentals of a CAMERA (DSLRs & handycams), explore visual composition & aesthetics. Shoot high-quality videos, decode film technology and get that perfect shot you always wanted.
- Video Editing & Digital Technology: Get familiarised with digital video formats, editing technology & break through the digital barrier. Practice Video Editing (Final Cut Pro & Premiere Pro), work around the editing interface, work around color, sound & music and export your film!
- Make your Own Film: After intense hands-on practice participants get into teams to make their own film. Each team storyboards, shoots, edits and export their own film.
You could do this workshop to express yourself visually, to become a filmmaker, to spruce up your audio-visual presentations at work, make better educational films or even to communicate your organisation's work better. No prior experience required.
