Ten-Day Longchen Nyingtik Ngondro Practice Retreat

Longchen Nyingtik Ngondro (LNN) is a preliminary practice of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

This is a practice retreat led by instructors authorized by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.

All LNN Ngondro practitioners are welcome to apply to join the retreat. For those who have not received the Ngondro transmission, it is possible to receive the transmission after arrival at Deer Park.

The focus of the retreat is group prayer and personal practice with 4 sessions a day. There will be dharma talks on alternate days, discussion periods and personal interviews with instructors.

The liturgy compiled and composed by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo will be used in group practice sessions.

There is no charge for the retreat program except food and lodging at Deer Park. The daily schedule along with information about retreat rules, Deer Park policy and details of travel will be sent to you after your application has been processed.

The retreat begins on the morning of Dec. 23rd and ends in the afternoon of Jan. 1st.

Participants are encouraged to join the entire period of retreat. However, it is possible to join only part of the retreat, such as the first 5 days or the last 5 days.
Participants are advised to arrive at least a couple of days before the start of the retreat to settle in, especially for those who need to get over jetlag.

If you are interested in joining this retreat, please send us some information regarding your practice background and the stages of the Ngondro practice you are engaging in at the moment.

Pilgrimage trips to various holy places at the end of the retreat can be arranged upon request.
