DESCRIPTION: \nThis Study Retreat will focus on Early Buddhism in Sri Lanka, Buddha’s life and Buddhist history of Sri Lanka, with emphasis on:\n1. Early Buddhist India according to Pali Tipitka and commentaries\n2. Buddha’s life as comes in Pali Tipitaka and commentaies\n3. Indian Buddhist history from Buddha’s passing away to Emperor Ashoka\nVenerable Balangoda Ananda Manjusri – is Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhist monk ordained in 1995 at the age of 13 under a prominent Theravada Monk called Balangoda Ananda Maitreya. After finishing preliminary monastic studies venerable entered University of Sri jayawardenapura, studied Pali language, Buddhist civilization and criminology for his under graduate. In 2006 joined Sevalanka foundation and currently working as an advisor and program coordinator (international). Venerable studied Peace Education for his masters in University for peace in Costa Rica.\n
