Panchali’s Vow: Evolutionary Leadership and the Deepening Metacrisis with Naveen Vasudevan
The world is facing a convergence of crises – ecological, social, political, economic etc, that is putting the very future of humanity at risk. Many are calling this growing avalanche as the Metacrisis. One of the many reasons for the Metacrisis is how “leadership” has been understood and practiced within Modernity. To further add to this we have largely been looking to the West for leadership theory and praxis while ignoring vast rivers of millennia-old wisdom on the transformation of consciousness native to India and other indigenous cultures of the world. We at Aram posit that we need a new understanding of leadership rooted in native wisdom if we are to navigate the Metacrisis and co-create a more sustainable and nonviolent human presence on the planet. We are calling this Evolutionary Leadership.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the principles of Evolutionary Leadership through a deeper engagement with the Mahabharata and Panchali as the central protagonist of the epic. Without awakening the Draupadi within, there isn’t much hope for humanity. We’ll engage with what this could mean in our everyday lives.
This workshop is primarily for those who hold a deep concern for the current state of the world and are sincerely seeking to be the change they want to see around them. The exploration is self-reflective and involves a significant amount of theatre, art, movement and process work. Full participation in the process is required of the participants.
