Reflection in a Small Figure: A Meditative Arts Workshop Led by Diane Thomas

Workshop description-

This 4 Day workshop offers the methods the artist uses to create small sculptures based on meditative body experience. Participants will be introduced to the materials and practices used to make a simple small sculpture and if so inspired, to carry on the practice to make more complex pieces at home — creations that spontaneously emerge from relationship to inner and outer experience.

Materials: Paper, Air Dry Clay, Wire, and Found Objects, as well as Drawing paper, Tape and aluminum foil, Wood, Paint

About the Instructor: Diane is a dharma student of 20 + years and has been staying in Bir for some time. She holds a MA in Education and a Master of Professional Science in Art & Technology. She designs her clothing, jewelry, and makes devotional art as well spontaneous sculptures. In making, she is self-taught and enjoys exploring a range of materials and processes.
