The Weave of Wholeness with Dr Yamuna

A 6-Day Immersive Wellness Program weaving together Holistic Therapies & Embodied Wisdom for Balanced Living.

Together we explore and weave together the complex inter-connection between Body, Energy, Emotions and Mind with educational workshops and integrative practices, including Clinical Somatics, Breathing practices, Body reading, correcting mis-alignment, Myofascial roll and release, acupressure & Self-massage, Yoga Therapy & Yin restoration, Nervous System Regulation tools, Mind and Emotion cultivating practices, group reflection and sharing. Healing can be approached from many angles, or even better, from all angles.

When sickness prevails, a multi-dimensional shift has often occurred across all domains of our life. Take anxiety and depression for example. Many believe it to be a disease of the brain caused by neurochemical imbalance, yet this research-based reductive view of cause and effect is far from the reality of the pervasive shift and imbalance that occurs across our whole being and life. The cause is never one pointed and it often involves a shift across our entire being, including a shift in one’s life path, external interactions, activities, relationships, perceptions and outlook, feelings, subtle energy dynamics, breath and organ function, myofascial tensions, physical biomechanics and body posture. Because the shifts pervade across all layers simultaneously, we can learn to recognise the imbalances and address them before they become chronic, fixed and disease-producing.

The wonderful thing about Holistic medicine is that with this knowledge of interconnectedness, we can target healing from all domains… from the perspective of body, breath, energy, feeling, mind, emotions, relationships, diet, habit and lifestyle. Wisdom and therapy in any of these areas will help to bring balance back to our whole being, regardless of the perceived cause of the ‘disease’.
During this immersive six-day retreat, you will:
Experience healing Clinical Somatic Pandiculation practices.
Explore functional anatomy wisdom, body reading and link imbalances to correlations with our subtle energy meridians, organs and chakra systems in our habits and emotional expressions.
Explore Peter Levine’s Somatic trauma healing tools and guided somatic experiencing for nervous system regulation.
Explore self-massage, roll and release and self-acupressure points along myofascial trains and subtle energy meridians.
Explore Yoga Therapy tools, assisted partner work for targeted body release and rebalancing.
Experience Yin Therapy for fascial & nervous system decompression
Enjoy Dreamweave – our guided yoga nidra meditations for gentle mind & feeling cultivation.

Educational workshop topics include:

Understand the Nervous system and the psycho-somatic experience of stress, fight or flight, shut down and stored trauma.
Understand the Digestive system, its needs and imbalances that can arise through poor lifestyle choices, emotions, unhealthy eating habits and food choices that can create imbalances in digestive health.

About Yamuna
Yamuna’s journey in Holistic Wellness began over two decades ago, in 2003. She spent 11 years training and serving as a medical doctor in the UK, specializing in Radiology. Her medical journey has given her a profound and unparalleled understanding of the human body. From dissecting cadavers, assisting in surgery, caring for hospital patients, to interpreting complex imaging studies like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, she has seen the intricacies of anatomy, physiology, and disease from every angle. This in-depth knowledge has shaped her approach to holistic practices such as somatics, yoga, breathing and meditation —where every movement, every posture, every breath, is informed by a keen understanding of the body’s inner workings.
Her yoga practice also began in 2003 and has since blossomed into a life-long dedication and offering of the holistic science of yoga and other therapeutic modalities. She has been teaching since 2015, sharing her unique expertise with others. Her medical background intertwined with her connection to the subtle energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual layers, a fusion of science and spirituality, allows her to offer a practice that truly honours the whole self. For the last decade, Yamuna has facilitated retreats, workshops, and teacher trainings that inspire transformation.
In her sessions, she draws from a vast well of therapeutic modalities: Clinical Somatics, Yoga Therapy, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Restorative, Yin, Breathing practices, Kriya, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Kirtan and Bhakti practices, Reiki, Chi Nei Tsang, Acupressure & Myofascial Release, and Trauma healing tools. Every session is designed to meet students and clients where they are—whether they seek strength, emotional healing, or spiritual growth. She ensures that each practice is not only relevant but also nurturing and re-balancing.
Genuine self enquiry, self responsibility and self practice Is medicine for the mind, body and soul.
