Walking the Dharma Path with Buddhism & Nonviolent Communication (NVC) – A Workshop Co-facilitated by Reena Ginwala & Tejal Shah

20 – 26 August 2023

This workshop will explore the philosophy and practices of Buddhism & Nonviolent Communication to elevate our personal and collective well-being.

* Do you wish to show up in your life as an authentic, vulnerable & compassionate person?
* Do you wish to take responsibility for the times you show up in ways that you do not enjoy or are not comfortable with?
* Do you want to learn to take care of yourself better when you are feeling overwhelmed, scared, distressed or hopeless?
* Do you wonder how you could be present to your own longings while being open to the pain and grief in the world?
* Do you sometimes feel your spiritual practice is ineffective or stagnant?
* Do you wish to connect to your innate wisdom and inherent love by understanding how emptiness and interdependence are two sides of the same coin?

If these questions resonate with you and if you’d like to explore new ways of being, then this workshop is for you. We look forward to having you with us.

RETREAT FACILITATORS
Reena Ginwala
I am a seeker, a healer, an adventurer…I consider myself to be a SwapathGami – One Who Walks on their Own Path. At 61 years old, I sense the wonder of life unfolding each day as I try to hold a presence for deep mourning and grief at the state of our individual lives and collective experiences, as well as the state of affairs burdening society, our environment, and beyond. At the same time, I find myself overflowing with immense gratitude for the challenges I have overcome and walk towards with courage and hope.
What has helped is my training and practice of Nonviolent Communication, Vipassana, Buddhist Psychology and the Study of the Mind, Kabir Baani, and Process Work. As a CNVC-certified Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Trainer, I look forward to sharing the gifts of NVC for Inner and Outer Work to raise our Life Condition and move towards manifesting the aspirations of our Being. TEJAL SHAH

Tejal Shah is an educator/facilitator, a contemporary visual artist and a cultural organiser. Through her journey of self-enquiry, she has found synergy between particular Eastern & Western approaches to healing and thus, in her offerings, she weaves the Nondual view of Buddhist philosophy and practice with psychotherapeutic & expressive arts modalities, poetry/song and queer, feminist & ecological perspectives.

Tejal is particularly interested in the delicate dance between identity and power on the one hand and the universal and spiritual on the other. It brings her tremendous joy and satisfaction in co-creating a better world by sharing the light of wisdom & compassion so kindly shone to her by her teachers. In service of supporting healthier relationships that are steeped in love, care, trust and understanding, she founded the project AS IT IS in 2020, https://www.asitis.org.in.
